Senior Designer

OVERVIEW

An exciting opportunity for a design lead/senior designer has opened at Tink Labs, where some of the industry’s most diverse and sharpest minds are gathered to enhance and spearhead the hospitality technology industry from all corners of the world.

In this position, you will take a central role in being the brand steward and uplifting the company’s brand image and all channels of visual design. You will be reporting directly to the Creative Director and will ensure the Quality, Creativity and Delivery of the projects they are overseeing are met to expectation and assist in adding creative value to generate revenue on company projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and take a lead role in managing the design & creative elements of projects
  • Ability to provide design solutions across various touchpoints offline & online (i.e. websites, mobile, print)
  • Execute and apply top quality craftsmanship with strategic insight to each project
  • Be the main point of contact for handling design requests from internal stakeholders
  • Ensure and be accountable that design projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality
  • Ensure brand guidelines and quality control are embraced and adhered to in all executions
  • Point of contact for liaising with external suppliers such as printers and on occasion photographers
  • Implement new processes and practices to improve efficiency of the creative department
  • Ability to quickly understand, analyze, adapt and respond to creative needs based on Business objectives
  • Work closely with multiple departments such as Marketing, UX, Strategy and Sales 
  • Design optimal solutions for online and offline experience
  • Projects include but not limited to: 
  1. Design projects – Website design, Mobile UI design, Branding, Art Direction, Photoshoot, Storyboard, Creative copywriting
  2. Internal development projects –Internal workflow documentation, company intranet, in-house branding/identity materials
  3. Business development & sales related projects – Pitch decks, product fact sheets, proposal writings, etc
  4. Marketing projects  – EDMs, eNewsletter, online web banners, product landing pages, etc

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  3 – 4 years of proven track record of in-depth knowledge and experience applying design to a range of mediums from print, digital, mobile, branding and photoshoot
  • Strong knowledge of design process and project management
  • Excellent hands-on design skill and stylistic direction
  • Proactive and multi-faceted designer (Solid comprehensive creative and digital chops all around)
  • Great communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor degree in design-related discipline
  • Strong online portfolio available for viewing
  • Overall understanding of Web production and the capabilities within digital channels
  • Handle fast-paced environments and tight deadlines with ease 

SKILLS

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Powerpoint, Sketch, Keynote)
  • Experience in Final Cut Pro and After Effects is a plus
  • Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of online and offline design work
  • Extensive knowledge of fundamental design principles (scale, proportion, rhythm, balance, symmetry)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead projects from concept to completion
  • A strong working knowledge of online and offline design, brand development and the creative process
  • Ability to lead and supervise designers
  • Understanding of design principles and methodologies of design best practice
  • Able to uphold brand guidelines but also develop out-of-the-box approaches to grow the visual identity of the company’s product brand
  • Experience in photo/video shoots, styling and other creative outlets are appreciated
