Job Description: The Rug Company is looking to hire a full-time PR & Marketing Coordinator to join their US Marketing department in New York. This role will touch public relations, marketing, social media and events.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assistance with social media management, scheduling and tracking
  • Administrative support for PR Manager in the form of coverage scanning, tracking, reporting and market research
  • Drafting of press releases, social media captions and digital marketing content
  • Support and assist with the coordination of photography shoots and sample requests
  • Support and assist with event coordination across all markets in the US
  • Interaction and management of brand presence on various digital platforms
  • Assist with blogger outreach programs and build an active brand ambassador network to support campaigns
  • Monitor effective competitors to use as benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

Requirements: 

  • Strong project management / good organizational skills, ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Public relations experience – preferably agency or in-house
  • Creative and independent thinker, with interest in design and luxury brands
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, SnapChat, YouTube etc.)
  • Knowledge of blogging ecosystem as well as influencers within the luxury, contemporary fashion and lifestyle realms
  • Knowledge of global cultural events in fashion, music, art, design, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, building and maintaining relationships
  • Strong copywriting with the ability to adopt a range of writing styles to project desired tone of brand voice
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Photoshop
